Headquarters: Viersen and Nijmegen. Since February2006 Lower Rhine also has a local representative at Weeze Airport.

Employees: Seven (two from The Netherlands and five from Germany) - take care of product development, coordination and tour sales.

Member: Lower Rhine encompasses the Dutch region of North and Central Limburg as well as the province of Ostbrabant and the regions of Arnheim and Nimwegen. On the German side it includes the districts of Viersen, Kleve and Wesel as well as the cities of Krefeld and Duisburg.

Financing: The project is co-financed by the European Union as well as the ministries of economic affairs of The Netherlands and the German Land of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Funding: 3,585 million euros

Tours: tours of one day or longer for groups and individual travelers

Reservations 2006: more than 20,000 overnight and longer stays with a turnover of 1,1 million euros

Advertising campaign: a three-year advertising campaign in Great Britain and Ireland (investment volume: 300,000 euros for one year) and cooperations with web.de, gmx and 1&1.
